The Role and Key Responsibilities

As a Sonographer at Equity Specialist Hospital, you will play a critical role in the diagnostic pathway, providing physicians with high-quality imaging necessary for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. The ideal candidate will be expected to:

Perform a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynaecological, vascular, musculoskeletal, and small-parts imaging as required.
Produce outstanding, high-quality diagnostic images in strict accordance with established clinical protocols and safety guidelines.
Accurately document all examination findings, prepare preliminary reports, and meticulously maintain comprehensive patient records.
Operate and properly maintain sophisticated ultrasound equipment, ensuring daily calibrations are met and any equipment faults are promptly reported for servicing.
Provide compassionate, patient-centered care by effectively preparing patients for their procedures, explaining the process clearly to ease anxiety, and maintaining the utmost confidentiality.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Equity Specialist Hospital is looking for a dedicated professional who meets the following criteria:

Education: Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or a recognized Diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Medical Imaging, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of active clinical experience as a practicing Sonographer.
Technical Expertise: Proven proficiency in performing a wide variety of examinations including ultrasounds, electrocardiograms (ECG), and Echocardiographies (Echo).
Key Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient-relation skills, alongside the ability to collaborate efficiently within a multidisciplinary medical team.
