The Kalthum Foundation for Peace (KFP) is seeking a committed and experienced Senior Community Health Extension Worker to join our team. At KFP, our mission is to empower communities suffering from food insecurity through innovative aquaponics technology, while simultaneously improving nutrition and curbing world hunger.
We are looking for a professional ready to work in outskirt communities, providing essential healthcare services and leadership to improve health outcomes for vulnerable populations.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Care: Provide treatment for common medical conditions, maternal and child health services, and routine laboratory tests in accordance with CHPRBN protocols.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Supervise and mentor a team of Community Health Extension Workers, ensuring high-quality service delivery and professional development.
- Program Coordination: Oversee health interventions, organize outreach activities (such as immunization and screenings), and manage medical logistics and inventory.
- Community Engagement: Collaborate with local stakeholders and community leaders to foster partnerships and promote health initiatives.
- Data & Compliance: Analyze health indicators, ensure compliance with national health policies, and conduct regular monitoring visits to maintain quality of care.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma in Community Health with a valid certificate and license from CHPRBN.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to supervise subordinates.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be mature, approachable, honest, and capable of working independently.
- Willingness to work in outskirt/remote communities.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English, Kanuri, and Hausa is essential.
Duration of Work: 3 months with the possibility of extension based on project needs and performance.
