About the Role
As the School Nurse, you will serve as a vital link between health and education. You will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing environment where students can thrive. Your role will go beyond traditional clinical care; you will be an advocate for student wellness, a support system for our faculty, and a proactive participant in our school’s health and safety initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert first aid and emergency care for students and staff.
- Manage clinical operations, including maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring the clinic is fully stocked.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and medical professionals to support students with specific health requirements.
- Lead school-wide health education and wellness programs.
- Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and infection control.
- Participate actively in safeguarding and child protection efforts.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Education: Must hold a Registered Nurse (RN) qualification with a valid, active practicing license.
- Experience: A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience, preferably in a school or pediatric setting.
- Certifications: Valid certification in First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills, a high level of integrity for maintaining confidentiality, and a deeply compassionate approach to patient care.
