Role Overview

As a Registered Midwife, you will serve as a vital member of our healthcare team, providing comprehensive clinical support throughout the pregnancy journey—from antenatal care through labor, delivery, and the postnatal period. Your clinical expertise will ensure that both mother and child receive safe, respectful, and patient-centered care in line with our hospital policies.

Key Responsibilities

Provide expert antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care to patients.
Conduct normal deliveries and assist obstetricians during complex interventions or C-sections.
Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, identifying and managing complications with precision.
Educate patients on breastfeeding, newborn nutrition, and postnatal recovery.
Maintain impeccable documentation and adhere to strict infection control protocols.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve clinical outcomes and support junior staff members.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Must hold a Registered Midwife (RM) qualification with a valid Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) license. A B.NSc or RN qualification is considered a significant advantage.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in a maternity or obstetric unit is required.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is highly desirable, as is training in Neonatal Resuscitation or Emergency Obstetric Care.
Competencies: Exceptional clinical judgment, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
