We are currently seeking a meticulous and organized Procurement Officer / Storekeeper to join our professional team.

Role Overview

As our Procurement Officer / Storekeeper, you will play a critical role in the logistical backbone of our hospital. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of our medical and operational supplies, ensuring that our clinical departments are well-equipped to provide life-saving care. This position requires a proactive professional who can balance inventory accuracy with budgetary responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the end-to-end process of ordering, receiving, inspecting, and issuing hospital materials and equipment.
Maintain precise records of all stock transactions and ensure inventory data is updated accurately in the HMIS.
Conduct thorough market research to ensure cost-effective procurement while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Monitor the storeroom budget and ensure all requisitions align with departmental guidelines.
Perform weekly and semi-annual physical inventory audits to prevent stock shortages and expired items.
Collaborate with various departments to plan stock requirements and resolve vendor-related issues.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary storage environment to meet health and safety standards.
Perform clerical duties, including data entry and detailed documentation of storeroom operations.

Requirements

Education: A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline.
Experience: At least 2 years of proven experience in storekeeping or inventory management.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide high-quality support to our clinical staff.
