Key Responsibilities
As an Optometrist, you will play a vital role in clinical operations and patient care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive eye examinations using modern diagnostic equipment.
- Diagnosing refractive errors and prescribing corrective eyeglasses or contact lenses.
- Detecting, diagnosing, and managing common eye diseases and visual disorders.
- Prescribing appropriate medications within the scope of professional practice.
- Educating patients on preventative eye health, vision care, and hygiene.
- Referring patients to ophthalmologists or other specialized healthcare professionals when advanced treatment is required.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Candidates should possess a B.Sc Degree (or equivalent professional Optometry degree).
- A minimum of 5 to 10 years of post-qualification clinical experience is required.
- Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a patient-centric approach.
