About the Role
As a Medical Doctor at St Dominic Catholic Hospital, you will play a central role in delivering superior healthcare services. Key Responsibilities
Selected candidates will handle a diverse range of clinical and administrative responsibilities, including:
- Conducting comprehensive medical assessments, clinical examinations, and precise diagnoses of patients.
- Prescribing tailored treatments, medications, and therapeutic management plans.
- Managing patient admissions, ward management, and discharge processes.
- Performing minor surgical and medical procedures with precision.
- Maintaining highly accurate, confidential, and timely medical documentation.
- Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, pharmacists, and laboratory scientists.
- Responding swiftly and efficiently to medical emergencies and participating in regular ward rounds and clinical meetings.
- Educating patients and their families on preventive healthcare and recovery strategies.
Education and Professional Requirements
To be considered for this prestigious clinical position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- An MBBS or MBChB degree from a recognized medical institution.
- Full, active registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- A valid and current practicing license.
- Successful completion of the mandatory Housemanship.
- An NYSC discharge certificate or an official exemption certificate.
Experience & Competencies
- Clinical Experience: 3 to 10 years of post-NYSC clinical experience is highly preferred. Experience within emergency care, obstetrics, pediatrics, or general practice is a distinct advantage.
- Professional Skills: Exceptional diagnostic abilities, superb interpersonal and communication skills, and a deeply patient-centered care approach.
- Adaptability: Strong decision-making skills, a proven ability to work under pressure, and the stamina to handle emergency situations efficiently.
