The Role
As the Matron, you will be a cornerstone of our clinical operations. You will be responsible for coordinating nursing services, ensuring the highest level of patient care, managing our nursing staff, and overseeing the implementation of healthcare policies. Your role will be critical in maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring that our facility continues to meet the diverse needs of our community.
Key Responsibilities
- Directly oversee and coordinate all nursing services within the hospital.
- Monitor and improve the quality of patient care delivered across all departments.
- Provide mentorship, training, and leadership to the nursing staff.
- Ensure full compliance with all healthcare regulations and internal safety standards.
- Manage nursing rosters and optimize departmental workflow.
Requirements
- Education: Degree in Nursing and Midwifery.
- Licensure: Current, valid license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
- Experience: A minimum of 7 years of post-NYSC clinical experience.
- Leadership: At least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Bonus: Additional qualifications in nursing management will be viewed as a distinct advantage.
- Skills: Exceptional communication, organizational, and team management skills are mandatory. Proficiency in essential computer applications is required to manage administrative duties effectively.
