About the Role
As the Design Lead, you will serve as a key pillar in the creative process. You will report directly to the Creative Director, acting as the bridge between raw conceptual innovation and final production excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Creative Leadership: Collaborate on seasonal themes, develop actionable briefs, and ensure every design aligns with the overarching brand vision.
- Team Mentorship: Manage and mentor designers, technical teams, and pattern makers to foster a culture of professional excellence and collaborative innovation.
- Technical Oversight: Supervise the creation of tech packs, oversee fabric/trim selection, and conduct rigorous design reviews to ensure aesthetic and functional perfection.
- Strategic Coordination: Work closely with merchandising and production teams to ensure cost-efficiency without compromising the integrity of the design.
- Market Insight: Stay ahead of the curve by researching global fashion trends and consumer behavior to inform design strategies.
Requirements for Success
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of industry experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
- A robust portfolio highlighting your ability to lead teams and deliver trend-relevant products.
- Technical proficiency in industry-standard software such as Adobe Illustrator and CLO 3D.
- Deep expertise in garment construction, fabric science, and project management.
