As a Community Health Extension Worker at Fortics Lifecare Limited, you will play a pivotal role in the direct provision of primary healthcare services. Key Responsibilities: Making a Difference Every Day
- Direct Patient Care: Provide high-quality primary healthcare services, focusing on patient needs and well-being.
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough patient assessments, including accurately checking and meticulously recording vital signs to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Health Education: Assist with patient counselling and health education initiatives, empowering individuals and families with knowledge for better health outcomes.
- Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications and treatments diligently and competently, strictly within your professional scope of practice.
- Accurate Documentation: Maintain precise and comprehensive patient records and documentation, ensuring continuity of care and adherence to healthcare standards.
- Infection Control: Uphold and ensure strict compliance with all infection prevention and control standards, safeguarding both patients and staff.
- Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly and collaboratively with our pharmacy team and other dedicated healthcare professionals to deliver integrated and quality patient care.
Who We Are Looking For: Your Profile
We are searching for dedicated professionals who meet the following criteria:
- Educational Background: A minimum qualification of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Community Health is required.
- Professional Licensure: You must possess a valid practicing license as a Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW).
- Experience: Demonstrate 2–3 years of relevant work experience gained in a community pharmacy, primary healthcare centre, or a similar healthcare setting.
- Clinical Knowledge: Possess sound knowledge of primary healthcare services, patient care principles, and basic clinical procedures.
- Practical Skills: Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs, providing basic first aid, administering prescribed medications, and effectively supporting patient education.
- Interpersonal Skills: Exhibit strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills to foster a collaborative and patient-centric environment.
- Work Ethic: Must be professional, compassionate, and capable of working effectively with minimal supervision.
Preferred Residence
Applicants residing within Ogombo, Ajah, Sangotedo, Jakande, Abraham Adesanya, Agungi, Ologolo, and surrounding areas of Lagos State are strongly encouraged to apply, as proximity to our facilities is an advantage.
