Role Overview
As our Biomedical Engineer, you will serve as the essential link between our medical practitioners and the high-precision equipment they rely on daily. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of our medical devices, ensuring that every laser, microscope, and imaging system meets stringent safety and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance and Repair: Conduct preventive maintenance and urgent repairs on ophthalmic equipment, including Slit Lamps, OCT machines, Excimer Lasers, and Phacoemulsifiers, to minimize downtime.
- Equipment Lifecycle: Manage the installation of new devices, perform pre-acceptance checks, and ensure all systems are calibrated to manufacturer specifications.
- Technical Training: Provide hands-on training to medical and support staff on the safe and effective operation of specialized hospital devices.
- Asset Management: Maintain rigorous documentation, including service histories, logbooks, and equipment inventories.
- Compliance & Vendor Relations: Ensure all equipment complies with international safety and electrical standards while managing service contracts and spare parts inventory.
Qualifications and Skills
- A Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering.
- 3–5 years of proven experience in a hospital or clinical environment.
- Direct experience maintaining ophthalmic equipment is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and technical proficiency with testing and calibration tools.
- The ability to travel between branches as needed to support our network of hospital centers.
