The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Associate Manager – Quality Assurance (External Manufacturing) to join our team. This role is pivotal in maintaining the integrity of our supply chain. You will be responsible for ensuring that all externally manufactured pharmaceutical products strictly adhere to regulatory requirements, internal quality standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Key Responsibilities

Oversight: Act as the primary QA point of contact for all external manufacturing partners, ensuring full compliance with international and company standards.
Vendor Management: Conduct rigorous qualification, requalification, and periodic audits of CMOs and suppliers, ensuring all CAPA plans are tracked to closure.
Documentation & Release: Review and approve batch manufacturing records and analytical reports, ensuring every product released meets our high-quality benchmarks.
Quality Systems: Oversee the implementation of robust quality systems at external sites, including handling deviations, change controls, and out-of-specification (OOS) investigations.
Compliance: Ensure that all activities and products remain in full compliance with NAFDAC, WHO, and other applicable regulatory bodies.

Candidate Profile

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

8–10 years of professional experience within the pharmaceutical Quality Assurance sector.
Direct experience working with Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) is highly preferred.
Comprehensive knowledge of GMP, GDP, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
Proven ability to manage audits and vendor relationships effectively.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to manage complex, multi-site priorities.
