With over 50 years of heritage and a reputation for excellence, our Apapa milling complex stands as one of the largest and most advanced single-site operations in the world.

The Opportunity

As an Assistant Hygiene Manager, you will play a critical role in upholding the high standards of quality and safety that our 'Golden Penny' brand is famous for. You will work closely with the management team to implement and continuously improve hygiene, sanitation, and pest management programs. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to maintain a world-class, compliant, and efficient production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Support the design, implementation, and monitoring of comprehensive plant hygiene and housekeeping programs.
Manage Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and fumigation schedules to ensure optimal facility standards.
Oversee the documentation, segregation, and disposal of product returns, implementing preventive measures to mitigate future occurrences.
Collaborate during internal and external quality audits, playing a key role in gap analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

Who You Are

We are looking for a candidate who possesses a solid foundation in food safety and an eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have:

Education: An HND or B.Sc. in Food Science or a closely related discipline.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience within an FMCG manufacturing environment.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in GMP, 5S, GHP, GHK, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
Soft Skills: Strong organizational, supervisory, and problem-solving abilities.
Advantageous: Professional hygiene certifications or qualifications in Quality Management/Lean Six Sigma.
