About the Internship Program

This is a unique opportunity to gain invaluable tech skills in Design within a structured, remote environment. Our comprehensive internship program is meticulously designed for individuals eager to dive deep into UI/UX design, with a special focus on integrating AI tools into the design process.

Self-Study and Structured Learning: You will engage in a self-study approach, guided by a well-structured and curated Internship Program Curriculum and resources, provided to you at no cost. This empowers you to learn at your own pace while ensuring comprehensive coverage of essential topics.
Mentorship and Supervision: Your journey will be closely monitored and supervised throughout the cohort to ensure consistent progress and accountability. You will learn alongside innovative and inspiring leaders, benefiting from their expertise and guidance.
Real-World Experience: Gain valuable hands-on experience by working on real-life solutions, applying theoretical knowledge to practical challenges. This program also focuses on developing crucial work-ready soft skills essential for a successful career in tech.

- Recent graduates pursuing NYSC placements.

Important Considerations

Please note that this is an unpaid opportunity. While we strive to provide the best learning experience, payment as stipends to cover data allowance and other needs are not available for participants at this time, with the exception of Youth Corp Members. Every participant is expected to have a working laptop and reliable access to data to ensure full participation and progress tracking throughout the cohort.

Furthermore, while the training program is remote, interns accepted under the SIWES or NYSC categories are expected on-site during their placement period, adhering to the requirements stipulated by the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) and National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). Therefore, it is crucial to select the appropriate internship category during your application.

What We're Looking For (Requirements)

We are seeking candidates who possess a foundational understanding and a keen interest in UI/UX design:

Design Foundations: A good understanding of core design principles.
Tool Proficiency: Working knowledge of design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (XD, Photoshop, etc.). Basic knowledge of CSS, CSS extension languages (LESS, SASS), and CSS Preprocessor tools is a plus for advanced UI/UX Interns.
UI/UX Principles: Basic understanding of UI/UX design principles, design thinking, and human-centered design.
Figma Familiarity: Comfort and familiarity with Figma.
User-Centric Mindset: A strong interest in user research, usability testing, and a passion for solving real user problems.
Inclusive Design: Willingness to learn accessibility and inclusive design principles.
Problem-Solving: Resourceful and possess a troubleshooting aptitude, while maintaining a result-oriented approach.
Visual Design Acumen: Basic understanding of visual design elements: layout, typography, color, spacing, and hierarchy.
Growth Mindset: Openness to continuous learning and skill development.
Team Collaboration: The ability to work effectively within a team environment is highly valued.
AI Integration: A keen interest in AI tools and how they can support various stages of UX research, ideation, writing, prototyping, and design evaluation.
