Key Responsibilities
As the Technical Drawing Teacher, you will play a crucial role in preparing students for careers in engineering, architecture, and technology. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning, preparing, and delivering comprehensive lessons in Technical Drawing according to the approved curriculum.
- Teaching students fundamental concepts such as orthographic projection, isometric drawing, perspective, and geometrical construction.
- Preparing senior students thoroughly for external examinations including WAEC and NECO.
- Evaluating students' work, maintaining accurate academic records, and providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
- Encouraging spatial thinking and introducing modern drafting tools and computer-aided design (CAD) concepts where applicable.
- Fostering a disciplined, supportive, and highly engaging classroom environment in alignment with the school's values.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:
- A relevant degree (B.Ed., B.Sc., or HND) in Technical Education, Architecture, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Proven teaching experience in Technical Drawing at the secondary school level.
- Familiarity with the WAEC/NECO syllabus and curriculum standards.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
