Job Overview & Key Responsibilities
As a Nursery English Language Teacher, your primary focus will be laying the groundwork for young learners to develop excellent English communication skills. You will design and execute age-appropriate lesson plans that stimulate curiosity, encourage language acquisition, and foster a love for learning.
- Curriculum Delivery: Teach foundational English skills, including phonics, vocabulary, basic reading, and speaking skills, using interactive and playful methods.
- Classroom Management: Create a safe, clean, and highly encouraging classroom environment that facilitates learning and positive social interactions.
- Assessment and Tracking: Monitor and document each student’s development and progress, adjusting teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
- Parental Collaboration: Maintain regular, constructive communication with parents regarding their child’s academic and behavioral progress.
- Professional Development: Engage in team meetings and training sessions to continuously refine your teaching skills.
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must possess a strong background in education, specifically tailored to young learners, along with the patience and enthusiasm required for early childhood teaching.
- Educational Qualification: B.A. (Ed.) in the subject areas (English, Early Childhood Education, or related fields).
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in the related subject area in a Nursery/Primary and the High School setting.
- Assessment Process: Candidates who meet the requirements will be subjected to a recruitment written test. Those successful in the test will be invited for a recruitment Work Orientation Interview (WOI).
