Key Responsibilities
As a Lecturer in Business Administration, your responsibilities will span across academic delivery, program administration, and scholarly research. Key duties include:
- Academic Delivery & Teaching: Teach a diverse range of business subjects. Develop and apply innovative, engaging teaching methodologies and materials to stimulate student interest, critical thinking, and academic enthusiasm.
- Program Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of taught programs, including timetabling, assessments, examination processes, and program accreditation standards.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that program design, delivery, and curriculum align strictly with the quality standards and academic regulations of the Polytechnic.
- Student Mentorship: Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and offer guidance to personal tutors and students to enhance academic success.
- Research & Scholarship: Undertake individual or collaborative research projects, produce high-quality scholarly outputs, and actively engage in knowledge generation and transfer.
- Academic Leadership: Provide effective leadership within program areas, coordinate team objectives, and contribute to the overall resource management and program development of the School/Faculty.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Academic Qualification: Minimum of a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Business Administration.
- Desirable Advantage: Possession of a Master’s degree (M.Sc./MBA) in Business Administration or previous experience teaching/lecturing in a higher institution will be highly advantageous.
- Location Preference: The client prefers candidates residing in Lagos, specifically in areas close to Ogba, Ikeja, or Berger for ease of commute.
- Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student development.
