The Role
As an English Language Teacher at our school, you will be instrumental in delivering a world-class education. You will be responsible for guiding students through the IGCSE and WAEC curricula, ensuring they achieve academic excellence while developing the soft skills necessary for global citizenship.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons tailored to the IGCSE and WAEC curriculum.
- Utilize diverse instructional strategies to promote active learning and student participation.
- Plan comprehensive lessons and develop effective, innovative learning materials.
- Evaluate student understanding through regular classwork, homework, and rigorous assessments.
- Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and prepare pupils for internal and external examinations.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and productive classroom environment.
- Uphold the school’s academic policies to ensure the highest standards of instruction.
Candidate Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Education in the relevant subject area.
- Experience: 5 - 10 years of professional teaching experience.
- Certifications: A teaching qualification such as PGCE, PGDE, or TRCN is strongly preferred.
- Expertise: Proven experience in delivering IGCSE and WAEC curricula.
- Skills: Exceptional classroom management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
