The Role: Economics Teacher
As an Economics Teacher at BMGS, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality education to senior secondary students. You will be responsible for breaking down complex economic concepts, fostering critical thinking, and preparing students for crucial external examinations such as WAEC and NECO. Beyond academics, you will contribute to the rich tradition of discipline and mentorship that the school is widely known for.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and comprehensive economics lessons in alignment with the national curriculum.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and academic support.
- Prepare students thoroughly for both internal assessments and external national exams.
- Foster a positive, disciplined, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Actively participate in departmental meetings, school events, and extracurricular activities.

Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, applicants must possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Education (B.Ed.), Science (B.Sc.), Arts (B.A.), or B.A.(Ed.) in Economics or related fields.
- An NCE (Nigeria Certificate in Education) or relevant academic degree paired with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) or equivalent professional teaching certificate.
- Strong communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for teaching and mentoring young boys in a boarding school environment.
