The Role

As a Sixth Form Chemistry Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a world-class educational experience. You will be responsible for guiding students through the A Level curriculum, ensuring they are well-prepared for both their internal assessments and final examinations. We are looking for an educator who understands how to translate complex chemical concepts into engaging, high-quality lessons that spark curiosity and encourage independent thought.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, comprehensive lessons aligned with the A Level Chemistry curriculum.
  • Utilize diverse instructional strategies to foster active participation and a love for scientific discovery.
  • Plan and prepare rigorous learning materials, including practical experiments and theoretical coursework.
  • Conduct regular assessments, provide constructive feedback, and monitor individual student progress.
  • Maintain a positive, productive, and inclusive classroom environment that upholds the school's high academic standards.
  • Collaborate with the academic department to implement curriculum policies and support student development.

Requirements

To be considered for this prestigious position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum of a B.A./B.Sc. (with PGDE/PGCE) or a B.Ed. in Chemistry or a closely related subject.
  • A minimum of five years of teaching experience, specifically with experience teaching at the A Level program level.
  • A demonstrated ability to inspire students and foster a culture of excellence.
