Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and comprehensive chemistry lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Utilize advanced ICT tools and modern laboratory equipment to enhance classroom instruction and practical learning.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic growth.
- Prepare students for internal assessments and external examinations, leveraging knowledge of curricula such as the IGCSE.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment within the laboratory and classroom.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve science curricula and extracurricular school activities.
Candidate Requirements
- Education: Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Education (B.Ed.) in a relevant subject, from a reputable university or institution. A Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) or a Master's Degree will be a distinct added advantage.
- Certification: Must be a registered member of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).
- Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of relevant post-qualification teaching experience, ideally within an international school setting.
- Skills: Proficiency in utilizing ICT to enhance modern teaching methods and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Additional Advantage: Prior knowledge and teaching experience of the IGCSE curriculum will be viewed favorably.
