About the Role:
We are actively seeking a dynamic and proactive Educational Counselor to join our vibrant team in Lagos. This pivotal role is designed for a graduate with exceptional communication skills in English and proficient computer literacy. As a Student Recruitment Officer, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality administrative services and fostering excellent customer relations within our overseas education placement unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the overseas education placement unit, including managing inquiries, scheduling appointments, and meticulously maintaining records.
- Assist in the recruitment process for prospective students eager to study abroad. This involves conducting insightful interviews, accurately assessing qualifications, and offering clear guidance on application procedures.
- Where necessary, coordinate seamlessly with educational institutions and partner agencies to facilitate smooth admission and enrollment processes for students.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student information, application status, and all relevant documentation.
- Ensure timely and efficient communication with students, parents, educational institutions, and other stakeholders through various channels, including email, phone, and in-person meetings.
- Diligently follow up on leads via phone calls, WhatsApp, email, and social media platforms.
- Assist in organizing and actively participating in recruitment events, workshops, and seminars to effectively promote international education opportunities.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative marketing strategies to attract prospective students and enhance the unit's visibility.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve organizational goals and targets, demonstrating the ability to work independently with minimal supervision when required.
- Consistently meet monthly and quarterly recruitment targets.
What We Are Looking For:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline is required, with preference given to fields such as Education, Business Administration, Marketing, International Relations, or other related areas.
- A male candidate is most preferable for this role.
- Prior work experience in student recruitment and admissions for foreign universities, education consulting, sales, or customer service is highly desirable, or having such work experience by proxy.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal, is essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine customer service orientation.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including the Microsoft Office suite.
- The ability to work effectively both in a collaborative team environment and independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of overseas education systems and procedures is considered a significant advantage.
