Key Responsibilities
As a Biology Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in the academic journey of our students. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering high-quality, engaging lessons aligned with the IGCSE and WAEC curricula.
- Utilizing diverse and effective instructional strategies to promote active, inquiry-based learning.
- Planning thorough lessons and preparing high-quality educational materials.
- Evaluating student performance through consistent classwork, homework, and assessments.
- Monitoring student progress and providing actionable, regular feedback.
- Preparing students for both internal and external examinations with precision and care.
- Maintaining a positive, inclusive, and productive classroom environment.
- Upholding school academic policies to ensure the highest standards of education are maintained.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Education, specifically within the relevant subject area (Biology).
- A recognized teaching qualification such as PGCE, PGDE, or TRCN is highly preferred.
- Proven experience teaching both IGCSE and WAEC curricula.
- Exceptional classroom management skills and the ability to communicate complex scientific concepts effectively.
