Key Responsibilities
As an Accounting & Business Studies Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering top-tier business education. Your core duties will include:
- Demonstrating deep knowledge of the IGCSE and WAEC curriculum content in both Accounting and Business Studies.
- Preparing and delivering high-quality, engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Using a variety of innovative instructional strategies and multimedia tools to promote active student learning and critical thinking.
- Planning, designing, and preparing comprehensive learning materials, lesson plans, and schemes of work.
- Assigning regular classwork, homework, and standardized assessments to monitor and evaluate student progress.
- Providing timely, constructive, and detailed feedback to students and parents regarding academic performance and areas of growth.
- Preparing students thoroughly for internal exams and external assessments, including IGCSE and WAEC.
- Maintaining a positive, productive, and highly organized classroom environment that fosters mutual respect and academic excellence.
- Upholding and implementing school academic policies to ensure the highest educational standards are maintained.
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed.) in Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related subject area.
- Professional Certification: Teaching qualifications such as a PGCE, PGDE, or TRCN registration are highly preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience preparing students for, and teaching, both the IGCSE and WAEC curricula.
- Skills: Excellent classroom management abilities, outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and a tech-savvy approach to modern pedagogy.
