Key Responsibilities

As an Accounting & Business Studies Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering top-tier business education. Your core duties will include:

Demonstrating deep knowledge of the IGCSE and WAEC curriculum content in both Accounting and Business Studies.
Preparing and delivering high-quality, engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Using a variety of innovative instructional strategies and multimedia tools to promote active student learning and critical thinking.
Planning, designing, and preparing comprehensive learning materials, lesson plans, and schemes of work.
Assigning regular classwork, homework, and standardized assessments to monitor and evaluate student progress.
Providing timely, constructive, and detailed feedback to students and parents regarding academic performance and areas of growth.
Preparing students thoroughly for internal exams and external assessments, including IGCSE and WAEC.
Maintaining a positive, productive, and highly organized classroom environment that fosters mutual respect and academic excellence.
Upholding and implementing school academic policies to ensure the highest educational standards are maintained.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed.) in Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related subject area.
Professional Certification: Teaching qualifications such as a PGCE, PGDE, or TRCN registration are highly preferred.
Experience: Proven experience preparing students for, and teaching, both the IGCSE and WAEC curricula.
Skills: Excellent classroom management abilities, outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and a tech-savvy approach to modern pedagogy.
